Stated meetings on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM | Dinners by reservation only | View Calendar

Medford Valley Scottish Rite held our first in-person Stated Meeting in over a year.  How good it is to see our Brothers again and get back to work in the Medford Valley.

Since the COVID status for Jackson County has changed from Extreme to High, we are now able to assemble based on guidelines from the State of Oregon and by permission of the Grand Master of Masons in Oregon.   This allows us to conduct assemblies within a specified number based on a prescribed matrix.  The Medford Valley will resume some limited meetings and ceremonies while observing the existing COVID mitigation guidelines of the State and edicts of the Grand Master.

A number of items were performed at this Stated Meeting.  We are preparing to conduct our Remembrance and Renewal Ceremony without the traditional Mystic Banquet next Monday April 19 at 6PM at the Scottish Rite Center to honor our departed Brothers who have crossed the vail within the last two years.  Additionally, we are practicing our degree work on the 4th and 14th degrees at home to keep proficient and, be ready when we are able to perform them for our numerous new candidates in waiting.

The Medford Valley Chapter of the Knights of Saint Andrew has combined their meeting with the Stated Meeting to reduce assemblies during this pandemic period.  The new Venerable Master of the Medford Chapter of the KSA was presented with his appropriately colored Hackle feather.   A Knighting Ceremony was also scheduled for May 3, 2021 for the three KSA Squires who have been in waiting for over a year.  The 2020 and 2021 KSA dues were collected and the KSA financial account is looking good.  The Medford Valley KSA Chapter is looking forward to aiding in the activities of our Valley.

The Order of the Knights of the Double Eagle Awards were presented to the Brethren who have earned additional bars of merit in 2020.  Congratulations to Brothers Billy Thompson and Chuck Fustish for their continued service to the Medford Valley Scottish Rite.   Well done!

The Medford Valley Scottish Rite has joined the efforts of the Reames Chapter of the Eastern Star to provide support for the victims of the recent wildfire that destroyed thousands of homes in the Phoenix and Talent communities.  The Ladies of the Eastern Star Reames Chapter along with other Masonic related organizations are providing meals for families who have lost everything to this devastating fire.  The Medford Scottish Rite Center is providing our kitchen twice a month to the Ladies of the Eastern Star for cooking the meals distributed to the fire victims at three local parks.  We a very happy to support the Almeda Fire Relief Program of the Reames Chapter of the Eastern Star and their efforts to help the victims of these two communities.

The Brethren of Medford Valley are excited about returning to the Masonic activities in our Valley and initiating our new candidates in the near future.  Your support is encouraged to restart our activities and events and to bring our Valley back from the doldrums that we were mired in this past year.  Be sure to check out our website at “MedfordValleyScottishRite.Com” on your browser.   Visit it regularly to keep informed as to the activities, events and information relative to the Medford Valley Scottish Rite.  Use the Events and Announcements tabs to get the latest information of activities and planned events for the Medford Valley.
