Scottish Rite ROTC Program for Colleges/Universities
Commencing in 2002, and approved by the Assistant Secretary of Defense, the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, instituted an award for ROTC cadets. The Medford Valley Scottish Rite has joined the ROTC program in 2020 and is currently actively supporting the ROTC Program at the Southern Oregon University in Ashland Oregon.
The recipient is selected by the ROTC Commander each year from the participating Cadets of the SOU ROTC Program. The chosen Cadet receives three recognitions: a Certificate suitable for framing, a Medal, Ribbon, and a Medford Valley Scottish Rite ROTC Scholarship grant.
The Medford Valley Scottish Rite gives the selected Cadet a Medford Valley Scottish Rite Scholarship Award to help them continue their future academic opportunities.

ROTC Award Recipient, Cadet Marribett Malubay!
Cadet Marribett Malubay has demonstrated exceptional excellence by deeds and conduct during participation in extracurricular activities and community projects. She has demonstrated academic excellence by being in the top 25% of his academic class and, demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership by exhibiting qualities of dependability, good character, self discipline, good citizenship and patriotism.
For this reason, Cadet Malubay has been selected by her ROTC Commander, Major Mark Timmons, to receive this years Scottish Rite ROTC Award at Southern Oregon University, in Ashland Oregon.
Presentation of the Scottish Rite ROTC Achievement Award will be conducted at the University Of Oregon in Eugene Oregon. Due to the COVID -19 restrictions this years presentation will be modified to comply with the required safety precautions.

For this reason, Cadet Royal has been selected by his ROTC Commander, Major Mark Timmons, to receive this years Scottish Rite ROTC Award at Southern Oregon University, in Ashland Oregon.
Cadet Royal also received a $1,000.00 ROTC Scholarship Grant from the Medford Valley Scottish Rite for use in his continuing studies at Southern Oregon University. Congratulations Cadet Royal!
